Team Empire win StarLadder Season XI

It’s seventh time lucky for Team Empire as the Russian team finally won a StarLadder title by taking down ASUS. Polar by 3 games to 1 in a dramatic final. Debutants Ninjas in Pyjamas were forced to settle for third after losing their game earlier in the day.

StarLadder XI Day 3: Empire reach grand final, NaVi, Fire, MVP eliminated

The penultimate day of StarLadder Season XI finished with Team Empire entering the grand final following another convincing win. NiP are forced into the lower bracket to face ASUS. Polar in the lower bracket final after the Russian team tore through the lower bracket eliminating both Fire and MVP Phoenix.

SLTV XI Day 2: Empire and NiP dominant, PR and HR eliminated

The second day of the StarLadder Season XI LAN finals has come to an end and two teams have now been eliminated. Hellraisers and Power Rangers did not perform well enough and fell short to Fire and MVP. Phoenix. In the upper bracket, Empire displayed a dominating performance over Na’Vi, and NiP took out Polar.

StarLadder XI Day 1: Empire, Na’Vi, ASUS. Polar and NIP advance

The first day of StarLadder Season XI has concluded with Team Empire, Natus Vincere, ASUS. Polar and Ninjas In Pyjamas picking up first round victories. They push Fire, Hellraisers, MVP Phoenix and Power Rangers into the lower bracket and, beginning tomorrow morning, only two of those teams will survive elimination.

The themes of StarLadder Season XI

On January 15th the Cyberarena in Kiev, Ukraine opens its doors for the eleventh season of StarLadder. The tournament features eight well known teams from around the world competing for a prize pool that currently stands at $124,050. But what are some of the main storylines from the teams going into the finals?

StarLadder XI – iG and CDEC both denied visas, replaced by PR and Na’Vi

The two Chinese participants of StarLadder XI LAN finals will most likely be unable to travel to Kiev, as their CIS visa applications were denied once again. Na’Vi and Power Rangers will replace the two teams in the event, and the SLTV organization will possibly look for a new venue in Europe to avoid similar situations in the future.

StarLadder Season XI LAN finals with revised format announced

The first StarLadder event of the year is set to begin on January 15th. While last seasons group stage has been scrapped entirely for a double elimination bracket, all the teams competing will play on the opening day beginning with StarLadder veterans Team Empire taking on American debutants Fire.

SLTV EU: Top 4 confirmed, Team Secret withdraws

Empire, LAJONS, HellRaisers and VP. Polar will represent Europe in Kiev, as Secret Team decided to pull out of StarLadder XI due to roster changes. The four teams will join iG, CDEC, Fire and MVP. Phoenix in the offline playoffs of the tournament, scheduled to take place mid-January 2015.

SLTV EU: Empire ahead of Lajons; Secret, HR and VP. Polar to play out tiebreaker

The European division of StarLadder’s 11th season has almost concluded and Team Empire emerges at the top of the groupstage, right above Lajons. Two more slots for the LAN finals will be decided between Team Secret, HellRaisers and Virtus. pro Polar, all of which are tied at third place.

StarLadder XI Europe – Empire and LAJONS set group on fire

Only three days remain for the round-robin phase of StarLadder XI European division, and it is still difficult to determine which teams will advance to the finals. Secret Team had the chance to secure their spot yesterday, but their two consecutive defeats against LAJONS and Empire complicate the situation.
