Puppies dota 2 profile leveling
Spent god knows how long on level 18, trying to get into ranked. Played yesterday with the new update and went up to level 19, then today after 2 turbos and a regular match I jumped up to level 23?!
Howabout some normal, predictable progression for that crap. As it is, levelling up the player rank seems honestly arbitrary and random. Just play and play and sometimes it goes up, for some reason
Make a profile on dotabuff. there you will see on your account all the achievements to get. these contribute to player level.
For example do certain things with certain hero’s etc.
At least I think it contributes towards account lvl.

wait. morons actually do these “achievements” ?
hope not cause that would explain some of those stupid item build+hero combos
the levels mean nothing but a purdy picture next to your profile.

I don’t care about the levels I just want to play ranked and couldn’t do that until I hit level 20. I shouldn’t need to play like 130 games to play ranked, should be 40 games tops. Dota2 asks too much investment. I understand they want to keep the noobs and smurfs out of ranked but even after 130 games a person wont know all the heroes anyway so it’s just a barrier to people getting into that mode of the game.
Also I suspect it doesn’t keep the smurfs out anyway, I played one guy who had 90 straight games with NP and did virtually nothing in the game with 30% win rate and then started playing a bunch of different heroes and was winning all the time, like 80-90% win rate. Don’t know much about the fishy stuff but seemed like someone levelled up a bot account and then sold it to him. Just seems like there’s bot accounts that people buy.
Though honestly given how much of a grey market is behind a lot of Valve’s games I suspect the bot accounts and buying/selling accounts is tacitly encouraged. They only seem to get care when some youtuber gets kids to gamble on his secretly-owned CS:GO site.

Level isn’t based on games played. It’s based on achievements. You were just doing it wrong.
Also, your logic is kind of silly. They make it hard to get into certain game modes because they want bots? That doesn’t make sense. They would make it hard so bots can’t get there if bots were part of the reason for it.
