I guess Valve will take action if it‘s at least partly on their side (client software and server maintenance). However they cannot manage thousands of client systems on the player side as well as the different ISPs and internet backbones out of their control. The usual mindset „it‘s all Valve‘s fault“ may prevent you from taking own actions.

I probably wouldn’t raise the issue unless it’s isolated to me. Sadly it’s not, and before I even concluded I did my part, checked my system, ISP connectivity and bandwith, so maybe it’s not on valve’s side is it?
Try checking some other posts, there are a few complains like mine.
as usual, someone who works (maybe valve’s) will try to justify or defend. For a subscriber like me who at least spent a few with steam has the right to complain.
But you close the way for own responsibility to early because a lot of other players can play without problems.

What I criticize is mainly that people just don‘t give any specifics about technical problems, because they think they know from the beginning that‘s all Valve‘s fault. Thus, there is only a small chance that somebody can figure out a common pattern, like same server, same isp, same OS, same anti-virus update etc.

-Is the error message not specific enough and that the fact that it’s not isolated to me?
-Would one who does not experience the issue (maybe a lot) should criticize one’s topic?
-Should it not be considered that there are people, who doesn’t choose to post and complain about their issue, at least the same issue?
-How many replies does this topic already have expressing their concern about experiencing the same? should this post still be criticized?
-Have you checked if my post doesn’t have the same posts as others at least similar and and that should call for an attention and theoretically say it’s an emmerging and an on-going issue?
-Should not one who does not experience the issue and has the luxury to find all the matches they want, play and just support other players’ feedback?
-Should an opportunity/feedback given by subscribers not be accomodated and that ONE person who does not experience it go against it instead of supporting the community (who keeps the game going on)?
And why do you even criticize? are you from valve’s tech group who gets paid but doesn’t want to take actions on subsriber’s issue/s? Is it your responsibility to do so?
If not, let valve own it and have the people informed if it is indeed an issue from them or the other.
