So just when is it safe to leave the game?

I read the basic stuff in the Win/Loss/Abandon Feedback thread, but i didnt quite understand when stats are recorded.

When the game says its “safe to leave”, is there a time limit for the “safe to leave” time? Because i had left 2 “safe to leave” games, and quizzically i got 1 loss on my stat (one match counted, one match didnt)

Quoting from the Win/Loss/Abandon Feedback thread,
“If there is an abandon at the beginning of the game then the game will not count as a Win or Loss for either team. This is when the safe to leave message occurs before 05:00 (TBC)”
“People can leave if they don’t want to play 4v5 and they will not get an abandon point. People who leave after this point will not automatically get a loss like the first leaver but will get a win or a loss based on the outcome of the game.”
So does this mean that No stats are recorded only when someone abandons the game within the first 5 minutes?
And if someone leaves at, say 30 minutes, if i leave, my stats will still be recorded according to the outcome of the game?

Also, does anyone know how battle points are calculated? Because i just saw this guy at level 2 with around 500 exp (so its 1500 exp total) and about 100 wins.
That means he’s been getting 15 battle points per match?!

As long as any players leave no stats will be recorded. A player can leave at 30 minutes and no stats will be recorded.

You only get abandon if you leave. The rest of 9 players will not get any stats.

Someone will come here and tell you that stats will be recorded even if someone leaves at 50 minutes mark. They are idiots or trolls cause in the game it says clearly in red NO STATS WILL BE RECORDED when somebody leaves! Before first blood or after first blood does no matter. Which time you leave does not matter either. It says clearly in big red letters NO STATS WILL BE RECORDED.

Oh, ok Though this brings up the problem of my extra loss stat

I just had a game where it was “safe to leave”, but that game actually game me a +1 to my loss stat, something seems wrong.

I have 2 games that were “safe to leave” but were recorded as losses now..

‘Safe to leave’ only means that you can leave without getting an abandon.
‘Safe to leave. No stats will be recorded’ is the message that appears in chat when you won’t get a loss for leaving. It appears when someone abandoned a game before first blood, in all other scenarios there will be a win for winners and loss for losing team.

Also about exp – it got added rather recently, so most players already had alot of games played when exp began working. Normal exp gain is somewhere between 30-70 exp per match(mainly depends on how long match lasted), it also depends on ‘skill level’ you play on as I remember.

Thats just not true.
There are two kinds of messages, one says “Early abandonment – No Stats will be recorded” This happens at the start of the game, for example if somebody doesnt even pick a hero, he will get an abandon after 5 minutes. And the whole game is basicly void.

And there is just the usual abandonment, if someone rage quits or stays afk too long. Stats are recorded. You can also win a game 4v5 and you will get the win.
