Just a quick note here really, if you’re having issues with Dota 2 Reborn playing properly with your graphics card setup and just get a black screen with your cursor left when loading (and then sometimes following by a really jittery background music), but you know the game is still working in the background then you should try this:

1. Right click on Dota 2 > Properties > Set Launch Options and then enter this commands:
-windowed – w 1920 – h 1080 – noborder – novid

Replace 1920 and 1080 with your actual resolutions. Right click on desktop and then click screen resolution to find out your screen resolution.

2. If the above does not work, go for this: (The 1st thing I do when Steam games goes wrong)
Right click on Dota 2 > Properties > Go to Local files tab (3rd tab) > Verify integrity of game cache (Take few minutes to finish this). But what is this? Let me explain briefly 🙂

– It recheck some of the files whether is it corrupted.
– It compares the game files you have on installed your computer with those of of the latest version on the steam servers.

Important: One or more files may fail to verify.
This is normal for most Steam games. The files that fail to verify are local configuration files that should not be replaced as part of this process. You can safely ignore this message.

Warning:
Do not run the verification process while performing other system-intensive processes, such as defragmenting your hard drive or scanning for viruses.
Do not run this process for multiple games at the same time.

3. If you are still experiencing issues after applying this fix, a good precautionary measure is to update to your latest video card drivers, but to also do a full uninstall of the old ones too, a good program to use to completely clear them is Driver Sweeper. Do watch the tutorial in case you messed-up your graphics driver which it is not really a good sign.
