That’s an onboard GPU. It’s not made for super awesome gaming. It’s made to display pixels on a computer screen. If you want to play super cool awesome video games then get a dedicated GPU with *at least* 2gb of dedicated memory, 4gb recommended.

Dota 2, a game developed by a company that makes billions of dollars a year and spends millions of dollars promoting it isn’t AAA?
The system requirements on the actual store page state “nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600” and a minimum of 4gb of ram.
An onboard GPU does not meet those requirements hence you’re going to have a subpar experience playing the game. Intel HD 3000 has ZERO dedicated memory, which means it’s also sapping your system memory to function, further degrading your system performance.
That’s not elitism or belittling. That’s a fact. So before you accuse people of “belittling” then you should know what you’re talking about.
Laptop?(I presume) Set your resolution desktop to say 1152 x 648 and run it so it doesnt scale – IE black bands all around–
It looks odd to start with but you’ll get used to it and pick up a big fps jump.
TBF though you should be able to pick up a dirt cheap laptop these days thats at least Iris 6100 and i5 though – even a potato like that can run dota2

30 FPS, even on different resolutions. Modern games require at least i5 8 GB and 4 GB GPU or more.

I’m assuming you’ve adjusted the in-game graphic and advanced video settings? If you’ve already done that, then I don’t think there’s a lot more you can do. If you haven’t then pretty much turn off EVERYTHING. You don’t really need an i5 and 8gb to play Dota 2. A dedicated GPU will boost your performance a lot and you could probably buy a 2gb GPU for 60 bucks. With Black Friday sales, you might be able to get something really good for cheap.
If you’re playing on a laptop though then you’re kinda stuck with what you got. It might be better to just play LoL. I don’t mean that as an insult. I think it would probably be more fun to play a game that your computer can handle than one where your low specs affect your in-game performance.

40-45 FPS on this graphic card, 10-15 more FPS.
