Dota 2 bet win home
Dota 2 bet win home
Dota 2 is the next generation of the famous 2003 Warcraft 3 mod, Dota, better known as Defense of the Ancients. Dota 2 is one of the most popular Moba (multiplayer online battle arena) in the world. Released in the beta phase last July 2013, Dota 2 has grown by leaps and bounds. It has already set the record for the largest prize pool in e-sports history during the International 2014.
Dota 2 is exclusively released by Valve, you can play Dota 2 for free via Valves digital distribution software, Steam. Dota 2 currently has more than 3 million players, and after a few years of competing with its predecessor, Dota, e-sports tournaments have finally shifted to Dota 2.
Bookmakers for Dota 2 bets and odds
With more e-sports tournaments shifting to Dota 2, there are now sites that offer betting for the results of the matches. There are presently three bookmakers with valid betting licenses, which is a lot better than some sites. The betting sites that have licenses are: Pinnacle Sports, Bet-at-home and Bet365.
With these 3 Dota 2 betting sites. Bettors will have a chance to compare odds and make an informed decision on which team they will bet for.
Pinnacle and Dota 2 Betting
Pinnacle is the new top bookmaker when it comes to eSports bets. The throne used to belong to Bet365, but judging by the amount of effort the folks over at Pinnacle have put into their website over the course of 2016, they have every right to be at the very top. If you opt for Pinnacle as your bookie of choice you will be awarded an amazing website experience, great odds and a huge amount of payment options.
Bet-at-home and Dota 2 Betting
Bet-at-home is not nearly as popular as Bet365 and Pinnacle, at least when it comes to eSports. This is due to the fact they don’t feature as many eSports tournaments as the latter 2 eSports betting websites do. It seems as though they don’t have big plans for eSports in the near future, which is a shame since they were on a good start.

How Is Dota 2 Played?
Dota 2 is played 5 against 5 with the objective of each team trying to destroy the opposing teams base or ancient, the teams are called the Radiant and the Dire. Players will get pick their heroes first, each hero has his or her own unique abilities. These abilities can be enhanced by the players buying equipment from designated npcs throughout the map, with gold they get from killing enemy creeps or heroes. Dota 2 is a very team oriented game as most hero skills can be augmented by other hero skills.
The map has three lanes in which enemy creeps spawn. Each lane is defended by towers and the main base in which the creeps spawn. There are also various paths going into forests in which you can find neutral creeps which can provide bonus gold and experience. Great teamwork usually determines which team wins.
Dota 2 Skin betting
Another very interesting way of DotA 2 betting is skin betting. It’s a concept that has been brought to life by none other than Valve’s Steam platform. It’s actually an illegal exploit that uses Steam’s API for their betting operations. Even though Valve tried their best to stop these websites (and did so successfully for the most part) still a good number of them remains active… and doing more business than ever!
The most popular skin betting sites for DotA 2 are dota2lounge and dotajackpots. The latter is concentrated on lotto games where players bet a certain amount of skins which gives them a percentage to win. Higher the value of their items, higher their winning chances are. Dota2lounge, on the other hand, works in a more traditional way. To put it in the simplest fashion – it allows you to bet a certain amount of skins on a competitive match.
Special DotA 2 bet types
As is the case with other popular eSports franchises such as CS: GO and League of Legends, DotA 2 also has a good amount of special bets available. As you already might know, these types of bets are strictly game specific and depend solely on the concept of each particular game. When it comes to DotA 2, here are the most popular special bets:
Team to draw first blood
This bet is won if you correctly guess which team gets the first kill in the match (also known as first blood).
Team to slay the first Roshan
Roshan is the main boss in the game which brings extra resources and makes the team that kills him superior against the opposition. Once it spawns during the match, you have to guess which team is going to kill it first.
Team to destroy first tower/barracks
These are two separate bets. One of them is, of course, targeted at towers while the other one is targeted at barracks. Whichever you bet on, you have to correctly guess which team will destroy it first.
Correct map score
Make sure you don’t confuse this with kill count. Correct map score represents a bet on which you are supposed the guess the entire outcome of a single match (for example 2-1 or 0:2). These sorts of bets are only available in best of 3 or best of 5 matches.
The bel0w shown screenshot was taken during the Boston Major in 2016. As you can see, in addition to the 4 special types of bets we explained above, there’s a ton more of them. It takes quite the skill to get these special bets right, so it might be a good idea to do a thorough research on the matchup before picking out wagers for your next bet slip.
