Desperate Dota 2 Heroes That Need Buff in 6.85

This year’s biggest event for Dota 2 fans is over and so is the roster shuffle. Whats next to come are Major tournaments and the time when icefrog puts in another meta into Dota 2 by the changes he will bring with patch 6.85. We hope that the patch will bring in good changes to the game keeping the balance factor of patch 6.84

Considering the upcoming patch will bring in many changes to the game, there are quite a few heroes that need consideration in order to make them a good pick in professional matches.

Famous Dota 2 caster ODPixel and WakeyPixel took some of their spare time to enlighten their knowledge to mere Dota 2 players on some of the most prominent heroes that needed some buffs in the upcoming patch.

Tinker
Tinker has been a major drop back ever since his March got nerfed. However, according to the casters, Tinker can still be buffed just in the right manner making him a viable pick once again. The casters suggested a mana cost reduction for Rearm by 100 on each level to make him less dependent on his mana pool

Terrorblade
Terrorblade started to be picked heavily ever since he was introduced in Dota 2. However, with the nerfs he got Terrorblade faded into the no pick zone by almost everyone. According to the casters, increasing the cast range of Reflection might be the perfect buff for Terrorblade in the new patch.

Necrophos and Doom
With patch 6.84 Necrophos and Doom got a huge blow since the new item Glimmer’s Cape literally destroyed both heroes ultimate. Both casters agreed to buff the heroes by adding some sort of immunity to the ultimates from Glimmer’s Cape so that the item and heroes remain viable in upcoming patch.

Batrider
Flamebreak and Firefly abilities for Batrider got nerfed to a great extent in 6.84. His abilities made him a good candidate to farm fast items in the jungle. However, with the patch update Batrider literally became the bat no one really cared about. ODPixel and WakeyPixel agreed that the best buff for Batrider would be to provide him with a movement speed bonus in compensation to his reduced damage output.

Legion Commander
Legion Commander probably had the worst Aghanim Scepter Upgrade in 6.84. The idea was no give Legion Commander the ability to lock down an enemy hero as long as a winner is not decided. Though this sounds good, the hero has plenty of other things to farm before he could actually think of opting to go for Aghs. ODPixel and WakeyPixel suggested LC’s ultimate to resemble what Axe offers through his ultimate. If Axe is able to kill the enemy his ultimate gets rearmed and something similar for Legion Commander can make him a reliable pick again.

While the suggestions sound good, we wish Icefrog gives importance to them or even considers to what the casters had to say about Hero nerfs and buffs. Official article can be viewed here.
